A new way to handle criticism

With all the controversy rn, this is the perspective that genuinely makes me not give a fuck-

Imagine you drive a Bentley & someone with a Kia is talking shit about your car. The discrepancy is so obvious that it’s comical. You’d never take anything the motherfucker said about your car seriously…

Bad timing for this analogy, but it’s like a homeless person making fun of you for having a house… Why the fuck would you get down on yourself and start to question your house and feel embarrassed?

THIS is the mindset that shields you mentally from criticism. Look at who the fuck is speaking & use it as a chance to see yourself on a level you may not have recognized before. People usually only attack up. Engaging with people that do this disconnects you from your potential and blinds you to how great of a position you’re in. THIS is how they rob you of your happiness when they want what they feel incapable of having.

Not everyone operates with the same morals, character, & integrity. Disrespect helps you notice when people aren’t operating with the same strength and heart as you. They’ll shame your “tone” and misconstrue your intentions bc you reflect what they aren’t. They can’t fathom someone is more morally equipped than them, so they must discredit and invalidate you so their self esteem can stay intact.

Recognize the discrepancy & stop letting it fuck you up. Leave them where they stand.
